Château Puynard is a wine producer with over 100 years of history, based in Blaye in the Côtes de Bordeaux region of France. We were delighted to be approached to create a new brand identity for Château Puynard, to signal a new beginning and a new era of ownership. A beautiful historic building, Château Puynard with its two (now uneven) turrets, overlooks rows of beautiful vines in this world-renowned wine making region and gives inspiration to the new brand logo, bottle label, packaging, print collateral and web design.
A minimal design aesthetic combines geometric shapes inspired by the building, with classical typography, honouring the tradition of the château, to create the new direction for the brand. The illustration style has also been reimagined to reflect the new modern approach, and will form part of the bottle label and packaging.
We have also been commissioned to work on several other labels for the brand including a rosé and rosé crement.
